For over 60 years, SEIKO Flowcontrol Ges.m.b.H. has been providing its customers with comprehensive expertise in the flow measurement of gases, steam, and liquids. As a globally active, family-owned company, we stand for customized, reliable, and high-quality measurement and control solutions for industry and energy supply.
Founding
On 16th of February 1968, Seiko Elektrogeräte Gesellschaft m.b.H. was founded in the 9th district of Vienna by Adalbert Kolar Senior and Franziska Kolar in a basement location. At that time, the company specialized in the distribution and production of electrical devices.
In 1978, the company relocated to Stockerau, Lower Austria. On 13th of December 1985, Johann Kolar was appointed Managing Director by his father. Shortly thereafter, the expansion of the production hall “Zur Schleuse 5” in Stockerau began; later, an additional hall (Schleuse 6) was built in the Stockerau industrial area.
In 2000, the family business was taken over by Johann Kolar in the second generation.
In 2004, the company name was changed to SEIKO Flowcontrol Gesellschaft m.b.H.
Expansion to the Czech Republic
From the year 2000, part of the production was relocated to Blatnice pod Svatým Antonínkem, Czech Republic. Shortly after, engineering and production were fully concentrated in the Czech Republic. Since its founding, SEIKO has continuously expanded its range of services, so that manufacturing and all standard-compliant testing are now carried out directly on-site at the production facility.
In 2018, SEIKO Flowcontrol celebrated its 50th anniversary as a leading provider in flow measurement technology. Today, the company is one of the preferred suppliers of differential pressure flow elements in power generation, thermal power plants, the chemical industry, as well as the oil and gas industry worldwide. Our expertise is based on many years of know-how in the design, manufacturing, and customized execution of flow elements such as orifice plates, pitot tubes, nozzles, throttling plates, or venturi tubes.
